Long Winter

So an entire season just slipped by since the last time I wrote. I can picture where some of the time went, but it’s really a bit of a fog. There were a few assignments, a few stock requests and the booking of some weddings for the summer. It was a season of rest and quiet, and I suppose that’s okay. Spring is here now and there’s renewed energy.

One of the highlights of the winter was slipping off to the coast for a little adventure with Leo. We talked, we sang, we looked for whales. We were pirates, we were builders, we were shell washers. We gathered rocks, we ate a crab, we watched surfers. We hiked, we chased the dog, we made fires, we bundled up, we read stories and each night we slipped into our crispy cold sleeping bags and wiggled around until we were warm.
